It’s supposed to feel like we’re losing. We’re at war with an enemy who is really quite brilliant.
First, he instilled doubt. And then he attacks those closest to us.
And before we know it, we’re questioning everything, wondering how God is ever going to win.
The thing is, He already has. Our Father knew that this day was coming. He knew we’d fear what’s happening. And He knew that it was all going to be okay.
He knows the end of the story. He knows exactly how we’re going to get there, and what it will look like when he returns.
The enemy is scared, because no matter how many people he convinces to try things his way, he’ll never win.
I know that these times feel so uncertain right now. To be completely honest, I’ve had my fair share of anxious, sleepless nights in the last few months.
I know all of the hatred in the world feels so overwhelming. I feel like the media is choosing to concentrate on the bad, helping the enemy in exchange for ratings and financial gain.
There is so much love. There are so many fantastic men and women out there, showing His love and grace to people, especially through all of this.
We have not lost. We will not lose. We just have to reject the enemy. We have to be a light to illuminate the darkness. And we have to hold fast to the One who loves us beyond all measure. The One who has already assured us that He is victorious over even death.
The Lord has made His victory known; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations.
Psalms 98:2 HCSB
Now I know that the Lord gives victory to His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with mighty victories from His right hand.
Psalms 20:6 HCSB
Friends, I pray today that we will reject the voice of the enemy. We will declare victory over your life and those we love in the name of Jesus. That we will choose what we allow to speak into our lives. That we will all choose to illuminate the love of Jesus to those around us. And that we will believe that He is victorious in all of our trials.
